Love Blanket

I’m making a blanket for my brother and his wife. The base is half her favorite color -purple- and half his favorite color -yellow. There is a red heart outline but the inside is the base colors for the blanket.

This is a knitted blanket and its taking some time to finish. However, I keep finding myself wanting to rip it out and change the design and then I don’t like the new design. Is this normal when creating a pattern? I hope so. I did make it bigger than I had originally planned and therefore, had to go get more yarn to finish it. It’s ok there was a yarn sale.

I do wish that the border was bigger and that I would have incorporated the other color in the respective side. But… I wasn’t talented enough to find a way that would work with stockinette stitch nor be overly complicated.

The yarn is Big Twist because I don’t have a lot of money currently and these were on sale for $2.50 a skein. Yay!

Not in love

BOOM! My child cut in half. Apparently he didn’t like it either. Well, I got to frog and start over.

Much better!

Changed it to be C2C. I like it so much better.

Now that im happy with it, this was a gift for my brother and his wife.
